“Of course,” he said, finally, picking up his phone from the counter and tapping the screen a few times.

I sat there quietly as he called me a cab, wishing that spontaneous human combustion were real. I could believe the way I’d acted last night – like the act of being naked in his bathroom was all it took to turn me into a shameless slut. I couldn’t blame him for reacting the way he did.
